LOCATION
East 5 is set in an old Victorian Tram Depot in Clapton, Hackney. This is a rapidly changing area, but still retains a certain edginess and urban cool.
ABOUT US
We are East 5 a location space aimed at a multitude of uses from film to pop up events and product launches. We are looking for interesting proposals to complement many of our own plans for the space including Art & Music Events. We have a range of spaces from a main hall that can be used for location and film shoots to functions and even vintage weddings.
FACILITIES
We have a professional catering kitchen of some 250 sq feet.
The main hall consists of 1500 sq foot on lower level and a mezzanine gallery of some 400 sq feet. The style is industrial combined with the natural building elements of distressed brickwork, steel columns and beams. Windows are huge glass bricked style and can be blacked out. Floor is a 150 year old wooden boarded area. The ceiling height is approx 14 feet. There is a removable bar area.
We have an outside wooden decked area of around 350 sq feet that can also be dismantled and used for parking generators or loading vehicles.
There are separate toilets and studios at the back that can be hired in conjunction with the main space or separate, these units have full showering facilities.
On site there is access to prop making, photography, video and a separate cove for hire. We can also organise if asked for in advance stylists, make up and hairdressing for photo shoots. Separate fees would apply.
HIRE TERMS
We can hire by the hour, day , week or month subject to availability. Generally the site can operate between the hours of 7.00 AM to Midnight Monday to Saturday and 8.00PM to 10.00 Am Sundays.
