General Information
Peckham Market takes place every Saturday, 11:00-15:00 pm on the grounds of Peckham Academy. This outdoor food market originally launched in November 2014. After two successful months, the market closed for Winter and is due to re open at the end of May 2015.
During the early weeks, the market attracted significant footfall with traders selling out on numerous occasions. With improved weather and an increase in the number of traders, market organisers are expecting to improve upon last year and attract even more visitors.
Over recent years, Peckham has become a destination for culture and food lovers with restaurants and galleries often being reviewed in local and National press.
Selection Criteria
We are looking to increase the number of traders we have by 50% and as such welcoming applications from those selling street food, produce, arts and crafts and other unique stalls we may not have heard of. Applications from local traders will be favoured. Other important selection criteria are the quality of the offering, level of experience, as well as the strength of the brand.
Charity Support
Peckham Market supports the work of One Feeds Two and provides one free school meal to those living in poverty for every person that takes part in their #tweetasyoueat campaign. Visitors to the market are encouraged to post an image of what they have purchased from the market with the hashtag #tweetasyoueat @onefeedstwo @peckhammarket.
