General Information
Stage 3 at Hackney Empire provides a stunning new space for artists and the community to come together to nurture the creative seeds of a dynamic urban life. The space opened in July 2014 as the permanent home of Platterform, the food & drink company specialised in pop-up on rooftops all over London.
With the introduction of an inspirational food and drink menu and a lively music & art programme, Stage 3 offers visitors a true feast for all five senses.
Manifesting as a weekly programme of immersive events including:
TV DINNERS: A weekly Wednesday supper club meets film club. Each week we will select a new cult movie to screen and then invite a different guest chef to create a special food menu inspired by the film.
TURN TABLES: A weekly adventure in sound and taste. Every Thursday visitors can expect a special line up of inspirational chef and DJ collaborations/ battles.
STOOP SESSIONS: Weekly Block Party vibes! Every Friday night will see local collectives #UNITY and Colectivo Futuro bring the funk to STAGE 3. With a music policy rooted in Jazz, Soul, Funk and Reggae expect a heavy weight line up of guest DJs, musicians, artists and dancers including Crates, Sounds of the Universe, Astroblack, Candy Dance, LDN LUVS, AAA and more...
LIVE LIVE: Every Saturday our flagship live music event starts in the afternoon (midday) with a live acoustic jam hosted by Tommy Sheen and friends. Expect a roster of ridiculously talented singer/ songwriters, a pop-up record shop, brunch, speciality coffee and hair of the dog cocktails.
CHI & TEA: Our weekly Sunday wind down session. An afternoon tea with a difference offering Yin & Yang cocktails, a dim sum cart, free Tai Chi sessions and a Geisha Disco.
We are open to your creative ideas on Monday and Tuesday.
